The ancient town, once submerged by the floods of the Yellow River during the reign of Jiajing Emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644), is now protected and boasts a treasure trove of nearly 10,000 cultural relics.
Following extensive restoration, Lintai's ancient charm has been revived. The main exhibition halls are open to visitors, with ongoing developments of additional facilities.
The visiting expats, taking in the array of ancient artifacts, expressed their admiration of the depth of China's history and culture. The relics vividly depict the ancient Yellow River basin's agricultural civilization and various aspects of early Chinese life. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
