Thriving power transmission industry fuels county's economic growth

Yanggu county in Shandong province has successfully created a national-level industrial cluster for power transmission equipment.
With over 800 main enterprises, the cluster achieved a total output value of 29 billion yuan ($4.07 billion) in 2022, with a growth rate of 20.75 percent.
China Railway Self-creation Electric, a key player in the cluster, produces high-strength copper-chromium-zirconium alloy contact wires and has supplied products to major railway and subway projects across the country.
The cluster in Yanggu county has also invested in research and development, with 55 core technology patents and the cultivation of innovative platforms. The cluster focuses on talent development, attracting top experts and fostering a skilled workforce.
The cluster's development is a demonstration of Yanggu county's commitment to becoming a county with a strong manufacturing industry and a high-quality modern industrial system, positioning it as a driving force for high-quality economic growth in the country. (Edited by Jiang Ting)
