Skillful weaving crafts a path to prosperity

Upon entering the workshopin Songzhuang village in Shandong's Dingtao, workers can be seen diligently making textiles on the assembly line. 

Their skill and speed are on full display as they seamlessly sew, cut, package and box the textiles.

This workshop was constructed in October 2021 with funding from the local town government. It primarily focuses on clothing production and processing, fulfilling garment orders from Shandong and Anhui provinces. 

The workshop currently operates five production lines and employs over 80 workers, meeting the market demand for simple-style garments, towels, tablecloths, and other textile products.

"Our village workshop can produce approximately 1,200 ready-to-wear garments per day, generating a monthly income of around 100,000 yuan ($1,399.5). Villagers can find employment opportunities near home, earning a monthly wage exceeding 3,500 yuan," said Chen Qirui, Party branch secretary of Songzhuang village. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
