To revitalize the rural areas, the development of industries is regarded as being essential.
In recent years, Dongkou town has established a fruit and vegetable planting industry consortium. It encourages more villagers to participate in the specialist planting industry, expand the planting scale and cultivate distinctive agricultural products.
The consortium is also creating employment opportunities for the nearby villagers, who can earn a substantial income on their doorstep.
"Dongkou town will continue to leverage its advantages, give priority to industrial development and carry out characteristic agricultural planting projects," a local official said.
"We aim to turn the Yellow River riverbank into a 'golden beach' that can enrich the people and accelerate rural vitalization," he added. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
