The seedling base in Siji village, Binhe street of Dingtao district, Heze city in Shandong province, has recently entered the peak season for seedling cultivation. Inside the greenhouses, workers are busy nurturing the seedlings orderly. Each lush green seedling exudes vibrant vitality, carrying the hope of a bountiful harvest.
The seedling base in Siji village has constructed eight high-standard greenhouses, with each greenhouse covering an area of approximately 0.2 hectares. The annual income can reach around 400,000 yuan ($56,017).
These greenhouses adopt advanced automated seedling cultivation techniques and are equipped with dedicated monitoring systems to ensure the healthy growth of the seedlings. The seedling base operates an order-based cultivation model, where once the seedlings meet the conditions for transplantation, they are immediately delivered to farmers' homes.
Due to the strong market demand, the seedling base cannot meet the supply. To further enhance seedling cultivation technology, the Binhe street neighborhood office regularly invites agricultural experts to provide technical guidance.
In recent years, the Binhe street neighborhood office has made every effort to promote the transformation of agriculture in its jurisdiction towards a quality-oriented development approach. Starting from these tiny seedlings has provided a strong impetus for rural vitalization and stimulated the development of local industries. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
