In the greenhouses of Fuwanjia production cooperative in Wanzhuang village, Nanwangdian town, Dingtao district, Heze city, Shandong province, a picturesque scene was formed when nearly 6.67 hectares of chili peppers became ripe for harvest.
Villagers carefully parted the leaves and selected ripe peppers, placing them into their baskets. Before long, rows of fresh, plump chili peppers were neatly arranged on the ground, their vibrant green color reflecting the joy of the villagers' bountiful harvest. Soon, a truck arrived, and the villagers sorted, packed, and loaded the peppers onto the vehicle.
The weather has been favorable this year, resulting in a good harvest of approximately 130,000 kilograms of chili peppers. Some of the peppers will be supplied to local supermarkets and restaurants, while the rest will be packaged and shipped to Anhui, Jiangsu provinces, and other regions, with an estimated total revenue of over 110,000 yuan ($15,450).
