In order to effectively promote public cultural services, the Party committee of Yuantang village in Dingtao district, Heze, Shandong province has transformed idle houses into a rural memory hall. The hall showcases the village's marketplaces, local customs, and agriculture, vividly presenting the rich cultural heritage of southwest Shandong province.
Inside the rural memory hall, more than 180 donated agricultural tools, handicraft utensils, and daily necessities are displayed, depicting the furnishings of the 1970s. The walls are adorned with murals depicting the scenes of our ancestors' agricultural activities and daily lives, showcasing their remarkable struggles and achievements.
"Through the rural memory hall, we can exhibit our agriculture, folk customs, historical heritage, and revolutionary history to future generations. It also allows us to pass down Yuantang village's traditions of hard work and perseverance, fostering a positive local culture," said He Maojun, secretary of the village Party committee.
The village volunteers have established programs such as local heritage classes, rural storytelling sessions, and folk culture training for children. These learning courses have attracted over 50 primary school students from the village and have become one of the most distinctive cultural activities in Yuantang village.
