Green pocket parks energize city

In recent years, Zhucheng city in Shandong province has integrated Zhucheng culture with the spirit of the times to form diverse cultural-themed pocket parks, constructing a well-distributed park city system that covers both urban and rural areas, with a focus on creating a five-minute city-life circle. With the construction of 11 cultural-themed pocket parks, the park city system has been further perfected.

By refining various cultural deposits such as Zhucheng's Dongpo culture, celebrity culture, and black pottery culture, integrating historical culture with the spirit and style of the times, pocket parks are transformed into cultural theme parks, highlighting "one park, one theme."

Using various forms like Dongpo poetry inscriptions, sculptures, benches, and small articles, the culture of Zhucheng is showcased. Each pocket park is endowed with the soul of a culture, displaying the cultural foundation of Zhucheng.

In conjunction with the reconstruction of the old city, pocket parks of varying sizes are reasonably planned and built around new neighborhoods and on both sides of roads to increase the per capita area of park green space and the coverage radius of park green services. This helps to enhance the accessibility of park green spaces, providing the public with more convenience and benefits. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
