District of Shandong forging industry aims for billion-yuan cluster

Guanxian county, Shandong province, hosted the 2023 China Bearing (Forging) Industry Development Conference on Nov 14.

Highlighting craftsmanship at the conference, Guanxian, a vital hub for forging bearings, commands a national market share of more than 25 percent. The county boasts 528 enterprises, 11,000 machine tools, and 20,000 staff working in the industry. With an annual capacity surpassing 1 million tons, it generates an impressive 8 billion yuan ($111.48 million) in production value, with products enjoying nationwide and international favorability.

Recognizing the industry's importance, Guanxian's green and intelligent forging industry secured a spot in the provincial distinctive industrial cluster.

Looking ahead, Guanxian seeks to form a billion-yuan bearing (forging) industrial cluster within the next three to five years, aspiring to become a nationally-renowned industrial center. (Edited by Hu Haoshu)
