Weicheng district in Weifang, East China's Shandong province, has intensified its urban renewal efforts this year in a bid to cultivate a youth-friendly atmosphere. It has implemented a number of urban development projects with the goal of becoming a higher-quality and more vibrant district.

For example, the district is actively fostering night-time and sharing economies to increase the prosperity of areas like the Shihuyuan Cultural Block.

In addition to economic development, Weicheng is making efforts to build pocket parks and urban greenways to enhance the city's aesthetic appeal.
