In Rangu town of Dingtao district, Heze, Shandong province, over 26.7 hectares of fish ponds are entering harvest season. The area has transformed abandoned ponds into profitable fish ponds through regular pond maintenance, consistent water quality management, implementation of fish fry stocking, and ensuring feed quality.

In the fish ponds of Junzhang village in Rangu town, spanning an area of over 26.7 hectares, more than 30 workers are busy fishing. They start by placing fishing nets into the ponds, then drive the fish towards the center, and finally capture the larger fish by pulling the nets.

"Currently, this fish pond covers an area of over 26.7 hectares and is home to more than 250,000 kilograms of fish, including species such as bass, tilapia, and silver carp, as well as ornamental fish like butterfly koi," said Liu Ying, the secretary of Junzhang village.

To promote the development of the village collective, Rangu town actively encourages the conversion of rural collective resources into assets, promotes investment into the village, and encourages villagers to join cooperatives, which distributes a portion of the annual profits to them as dividends.
