Party building spurs quality development of Shandong city

Binzhou city in East China's Shandong province has been striving to build a green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot zone this year – with the deep integration of Party building and business as the driving forces.

To help make this happen, the city's science and technology bureau has implemented a Party building + science and innovation action.

It's also supported local enterprises to apply for four provincial-level major scientific and technological innovation projects.

This has achieved breakthroughs in key core technologies – such as lightweight aluminum materials for rail transit, aligned aramid paper, large-diameter textiles artificial blood vessels and ultra-high-precision photoresists.

What's more, the Yellow River Fourth Bridge, a major infrastructure and civic project in Binzhou, has established a temporary Party branch and formed a so-called "Party member assault team".

It's expected this will speed up the construction progress and overcome various difficulties. Overall, the bridge construction has entered the final stage and it’s expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Elsewhere, the city has carried out activities such as "I do practical things for the masses" and "I listen to the people's sentiments and opinions" – and has moved to solve the problems of the locals.

The city's housing and urban-rural development bureau has formed a "smart sharing-service for people's livelihood" Party building alliance – with 10 enterprises such as power supply and heating – and has released a "shared business hall" convenience map of Binzhou, providing cross-industry shared services.

In recent years, Binzhou has taken Party building as the lead and created a first-class business environment.

The city's political and legal committee says it has innovated the country's first one-stop legal and intelligent escort center. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
