National conference on safe operation of farm equipment held in Weifang

A national on-site observation conference centering on the safe operation of agricultural equipment was held in Weicheng district, Weifang, East China's Shandong province on Dec 6.

Officials from China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and provincial-level agricultural authorities across the country, as well as executives from Beidahuang Group, an important State-owned grain producer in Harbin, Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, attended the meeting.

The attendees conducted on-site observation at the grain storage and drying center of the Lyuye Agricultural Machinery Cooperative in Weicheng district and gave a positive assessment of the center's safety production management practices.

In recent years, Weicheng has been improving its agricultural machinery safety management system. The district has organized training sessions related to laws and regulations about the safe operation of agricultural machinery and carried out extensive promotional campaigns to raise awareness of safe production among equipment operators.
