Local enterprises flourish with policy support in Shandong

On the factory floor of Chuanlu Clothing Co Ltd – located in the Dongming county of Heze city in East China's Shandong province – company head Liu Lanjing conducts a thorough inspection of products that are slated for export.

The success story of Chuanlu Clothing Co Ltd is said to reflect the broader prosperity being experienced by local enterprises, attributed to the supportive policies implemented by the government of Dongming county in recent years.

For instance, the county has introduced a "project cultivation base + cooperative + employment and entrepreneurship training base" model.

This provides comprehensive support, ranging from policies to technology and financial assistance for locals. The result is not only the rapid development of enterprises like Chuanlu Clothing, but also the realization of employment and entrepreneurial dreams for a growing number of community members.

Another shining example is the Heze Yellow River Basin Agricultural Development Co Ltd, a company that combines lotus roots cultivation and recreational fishing. With over 200 greenhouses, a big fish farming area for soft-shelled turtles and common carp and extensive cultivation of lotus roots spanning more than 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares), the company employs up to 800 farmhands during peak seasons.
