One of the oldest stringed instruments in China, the guqin (a seven-stringed plucked instrument) has for thousands of years brought to people spiritual comfort. This instrument has been inherited and promoted in Zhucheng city, Shandong province.
The deep, lingering tones of the guqin, a traditional Chinese zither, seem to penetrate the soul, causing all matters of worldly concern to fade away. Each instrument crafted embodies the blood, sweat, and dedication of zither craftsmen, as well as the spirit of thousands of years of artisanal heritage.
The promotion of the Zhucheng guqin from Shandong has filled this modest town with the elegant melody of the guqin, ensuring the perpetuation of the ancient tune in the hands of Zhucheng's residents, generation after generation. (Edited by Huang Junyao)
