Laiwu district in Jinan, Shandong province, has worked tirelessly to devise new methods to enhance service quality, creating a more friendly business environment.

An exemplary case is the cultivation of the distinctive crispy pear in Dawangzhuang town. The local planting company, after introducing the pear researched by Shandong Agricultural University, faced a funding shortfall during the crucial bagging and fruit-setting period.

Responding promptly, Dawangzhuang town leveraged funds from a provincial project. Through fiscal connections, the integration of industry funds, and collaboration with social capital, the town purchased rain and frost prevention sheds. The ownership was then transferred to the village, not only alleviating the enterprise's financial constraints but also significantly boosting the collective income of the village.

The introduction of these sheds proved invaluable, effectively countering heavy rainfall, and a bountiful and high-quality harvest ensues. Farmers expressed satisfaction, anticipating a substantial increase in crispy pear yields in 2023.

Looking ahead, Laiwu district is committed to lowering business operating costs, deepening market-oriented reforms, and optimizing the flow of resources. The government will play a pivotal role in fostering the efficient aggregation of capital, resources, goods, services, and data, stimulating market vitality. (Edited by Hu Haoshu)
