Celery enjoys a bountiful harvest

The Fumanjia cooperative in Nanwangdian town, Dingtao district of Heze city, Shandong province, recently welcomed a bumper harvest of celery.

Upon arriving at the celery plantation of the Fumanjia production cooperative, the aroma of celery becomes apparent. More than 10 workers can be seen harvesting celery and packing it into foam boxes.

This batch of celery is grown on an area of about 40 mu (2.6 hectares) that can yield close to 100,000 kilograms. The produce is mainly sold to cities like Guangzhou and Shenzhen in Guangdong province. After deducting the cost, the cooperative can earn over 50,000 yuan ($6,989). (Edited by Huang Junyao)
