Managed by professional catering services under community supervision, the cafeteria is said to have addressed the prevalent issue of seniors who are struggling with cooking and dining alone.
Beyond resolving the elderly's dining difficulties, the cafeteria serves as a hub for communal events, offering a variety of banquets for all residents.
The initiative is part of a broader community revitalization effort, which includes a "call and respond" system with a smart service platform. Locals now have bedside communications terminals for one-click access to community services, ranging from government assistance to conflict resolutions and emergency aid.
What's more, the community's multi-faceted approach extends to reshaping its infrastructure by linking it to things like grocery stores, hairdressers and beauty salons.
The efforts are said to underscore the community's commitment to innovative elderly care, combining technological advancements with tailored services to improve the quality of life of residents. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
