Chengwu county, located in Heze city in East China's Shandong province, recently hosted an exciting display of the dragon ribbon dance – a more compact form of the Chinese dragon dance.

It originates from ribbon dancing – where performers dance in long robes – a traditional art form that dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Beyond serving as entertainment, this dynamic art form has proven health benefits, helping to prevent and alleviate issues such as shoulder, neck and lumbar pain.

The inclusive nature of the dragon ribbon dance makes it suitable for a broad audience to participate – elevating the community's entertainment. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
