Heze district ramps up key projects to drive growth

The Luxi New District of Heze city – located in East China's Shandong province – is focusing on major projects to ramp up its high-quality development.

The projects are seen as being important engines for regional economic growth and are key to driving the overall development of the area.

The district is home to various industrial parks that are constantly changing and growing. One of these is the Heze Modern Medicine Port Health Science and Technology Industrial Park.

Moreover, the district is working hard to expand its biomedicines industry by focusing on the expansion of enterprises and implementing a "multiplication plan" to create a 100-billion-yuan ($14 billion) level industrial cluster.

The district is also home to the Liaoweiyuan Healthcare Industrial Park, which has a modern plant with an automated production line for anticancer drugs.

The Luxi New District is also working to transform the equipment manufacturing industry to high-end, digital and intelligent manufacturing. Resident company Shandong Kangwo Holdings Co Ltd's factory in the district is producing methanol engines following independent research and development. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
