Genghai No 1 project shines at Beijing promotions event
The Laishan district of the coastal city of Yantai – in East China's Shandong province – presented its groundbreaking Genghai No 1 intelligent fish farm at a recent promotions event held in Beijing.
Genghai No 1 is the country's first integrated intelligent big ecological aquatic farming complex. It is said to have broken through limitations in various fields, from marine engineering to intelligent aquaculture.
For instance, it features a revolutionary steel structure with foundation-bearing technology derived from marine engineering.
What's more, the project employs a cutting-edge "5G + marine farm" development model to integrate the industry supply chain, innovation chain and talent chain.
The fish-rearing zone, designed to resemble petals, contains three large circular net cages, each with a diameter of 40 meters, reinforcing its position as the country's biggest single-unit marine cultivation water body.
