Guanxian's bearing industry showcases growth and potential

Guanxian, a county-level city in Shandong province has emerged as a powerhouse in the production of bearings, capturing over a quarter of the national market with an impressive annual output value of eight billion yuan ($1.1 billion).

At the recent industrial development conference, enterprises like Guanxian Hengxiang Bearing Co Ltd showcased their innovative products, achieving a notable increase in productivity through structural enhancements.

With a developmental history spanning over 40 years, Guanxian's bearing industry has established a comprehensive supply chain, covering forging, machining, heat treatment, grinding, assembly, and sales. The market dominance extends to 528 bearing processing enterprises, boasting an annual processing capacity of one million tons.

Internationally recognized for their quality, Guanxian's bearing products, in various forms, are exported to more than 40 countries. Collaborations with global industry leaders such as SKF, Fersa, and NSK underscore the industry's reputation.

The county's commitment to green and low-carbon production is evident in the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like automated hardening process, which reduces  energy consumption by 40 percent yet elevates the quality and precision of products.

Looking ahead, Guanxian aims to solidify its position by forming a billion-yuan industrial cluster within three to five years. This ambitious plan involves constructing industrial parks, fostering collaboration, and embracing a new era of digitalized and intelligent manufacturing. (Edited by Hu Haoshu)
