In Yezhuli village, a small rural settlement in Ningjin county in East China's Shandong province, acrobatics is more than just a profession – it's a way of life.
The village has a long and proud history of acrobatics, dating back to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Over the centuries, generations of villagers have inherited and honed their acrobatic skills, including superb balancing and juggling acts.
The village's acrobats have dazzled audiences not only in major Chinese cities like Nanjing, Shanghai and Beijing, but also in more than 30 countries and regions across Asia, Europe and America. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
