Cuitang village, at the core of Yanlou town, has implemented a strategic approach to chrysanthemum planting and its agro-industry development.
This includes the establishment of a complete industry supply chain – involving various stages from the supply of seedlings to sales – and the registration of their own chrysanthemum brand, which is now distributed nationwide.
With over 180 mu (12 hectares) dedicated to growing chrysanthemums, the town grows ornamental chrysanthemums, chrysanthemum tea and various varieties of the ever-popular flower.
This flourishing industry has not only increased the incomes of villagers and stimulated local economic growth, but has also provided over 20 folks with work closer to home.
Liu Xiaoli, the deputy secretary of Yanlou town's Party committee, emphasized the importance of learning from and promoting their experience in chrysanthemum cultivation.
By adhering to the development concept of "one village, one product" and leveraging demonstrations and brand creation, the folks there aim to create a stronger village and more prosperous residents through financial empowerment and the development of distinctive industries.
