Tai'an accelerates industrial transformation, upgrades
Dongping county in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province, is intensifying its endeavors to promote industrial transformation by upgrading its industrial structure and fostering the growth of advanced, intelligent, and green manufacturing sectors.
Statistics show that the county's added value of industries above designated scale rose by 12.4 percent from January to September. Additionally, there has been a 21.4 percent year-on-year increase in investment in industrial technological transformation.
Technological transformation plays a crucial role in promoting the upgrading of industries. Dongping has been strengthening policy incentives to encourage enterprises to accelerate technological transformation and industrial upgrading.
Ruixing Group, a well-established chemical enterprise in Dongping, has developed a thriving biomedical industry based on its related resources. It has made a substantial investment of over 1 billion yuan ($137.3 million) in a groundbreaking pharmaceutical project, which has achieved remarkable success after establishing a comprehensive production chain.
Moreover, Dongping is prioritizing the development of industrial parks to maximize the utilization of its extensive industrial chains. These parks are designed to encompass various sectors, including biomedicine, modern food, high-end metal surface treatment, textile and clothing, green building materials, and special paper materials.
With its rich agricultural and fishery resources, Dongping enjoys many advantages that allow it to develop a modern food industry. A modern food industrial park project focused on developing healthy food, fishery, and pet food has been established with an investment of 2 billion yuan. Currently, the project has attracted more than 20 enterprises from upstream and downstream industrial chains.
In addition, a transport logistics park combining highway, railway and waterway is under construction. After completion, the annual transfer volume of the logistics park, which will tap into the advantages of Dongping Port and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, is expected to reach 16.2 million metric tons.
