The county's central urban heating utility has implemented waste water circulation system, which utilizes surplus steam to meet the heating demands of both industrial and residential areas, resulting in reduced energy consumption.
Furthermore, the Dong'e Economic Development Zone has established a recycling industry network that promotes efficient resources and energy utilization.
In line with Shandong's commitment to going green and low-carbon – and its move to premium-quality development – the zone has focused on energy-savings, carbon reductions, pollution controls and efficiency improvements.
Various sectors, including production of ejiao – a gelatin used in TCM – as well as high-end equipment manufacturing and new building materials are being interconnected to achieve sustainable growth.
Dong'e Ejiao Co Ltd, based in the county, has integrated intelligent production, digitalization and green, low-carbon approaches to achieve new growth.
