Industrial internet sector booms in Shandong
Local businesses in the Weihai Torch High-Tech Industry Development Zone – located in Weihai city in East China's Shandong province – performed extremely well in the recently announced 2023 Industrial Internet Top 500 list.
The LanHai Industrial Internet Platform, for one, proudly secured the 32nd spot, while Dishang Group Co Ltd made its mark by coming in at 247th.
The Dishang Group has been turning heads by introducing the nation's first-ever vertical ecological supply chain platform for textiles and clothing.
This integrates various businesses along the supply chain, connecting elements from creative clothing designs to collaborative materials resourcing and garment research and development.
The result is the digitization of essential processes in the supply chain, leading to increased resources, efficiency and overall benefits.
The positive trend is said to be continuing apace in the high-tech zone, with more companies following in Dishang Group's footsteps and reaping the benefits of the industrial internet.
For instance, Shandong Lianqiao Group Co Ltd established its own sweater yarn resource-sharing platform with the help of the LanHai Industrial Internet Platform.

As a significant player in the local industrial internet scene, the LanHai Industrial Internet Platform is said to integrate the best domestic industrial internet resources and service providers, giving a boost to small and medium-sized enterprises with their digital transformation.
This includes their cloud-based equipment, business operations, procurements and sales and intelligent quality testing.
Currently, the platform has accumulated 5,280 industrial apps catering to different industries and scenarios, connecting over 650,000 industrial devices. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
