Shandong group unveils AI breakthrough in agriculture

Shandong Sinoverse Holdings Co Ltd – located in the Weihai Torch High-Tech Industry Development Zone in Weihai city in East China's Shandong province – has made a significant leap forwards in agricultural technology with the release of the country's first agricultural voice interaction robot.

The innovative AI robot is capable of offering a range of services, from voice automation control to agricultural knowledge Q&A and real-time market trend analysis.

Additionally, the group's exhibition hall showcases other high-tech products it has developed, such as an intelligent greenhouse control cabinet and an advanced pest detection and reporting station.

General manager Qiu Huixue said it recently completed the delivery of an intelligent monitoring and control system to a greenhouse at Tsinghua University.

Ongoing discussions for collaborations with leading institutions, like the Shandong Yantai Academy of Agriculture Sciences and the Zhilian Security Science Academy in Zhongguancun – known as China's Silicon Valley – are also in progress.

Most notably, with an impressive 50 percent of its staff being research and development personnel, the company boasts a substantial intellectual property portfolio, including over 100 software copyrights, five invention patents, 16 utility model patents and nine design patents.

Moving forwards, plans are for the company to deepen its presence in the smart agriculture sector with the goal of redefining the future of agriculture through technological innovation. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
