A residential community in Huimin county – in Binzhou city, in East China's Shandong province – recently launched a family doctor service station that offers professional, free and convenient health management services to locals.
The service station, established by the Sunwu sub-district community health service center, is the first of its kind in the county, according to local officials.
The station provides a range of services, such as setting up online health records, signing contracts, health management and follow-ups, blood pressure measurements, rapid blood glucose tests and rational drug use guidance.
It can also connect to the existing public health records system and expand projects according to needs.
Moreover, it can also realize key functions – such as the speedy printing of results, data storage and uploading. This can greatly assist family doctors in mastering the basic situation of residents and in doing a good job in basic medical and public health work.
In recent years, Huimin county has carried out family doctor contract service work with multiple measures to meet the needs of residents for medical treatment.
The county has 273 family doctor contract service teams, which have signed agreements with nearly 320,000 residents under their jurisdiction.
These provide them with physical examinations, health management, basic medical care and bidirectional referral services, protecting the well-being of the people. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
