Volunteer service makes a difference in Shandong
To get more to participate in grassroots governance and promote community engagement, Dudian Subdistrict in the Binzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone – in Binzhou city in East China's Shandong province – recently launched the "I Love Dudian" volunteer service team.
Volunteers who participate in service activities earn points that are exchanged for gifts at what they call a "Love Bank".
The initiative allows folks to accumulate points through their active involvement in various volunteer service activities.
These can then be used to redeem a variety of gifts at the Love Bank, which serves as a reward and recognition for their dedication.
