The huabobo – a type of traditional steamed bun originating from East China's Shandong province – is not just its delicious taste: it also embodies the rich local culture.

As rural vitalization gains momentum, many young entrepreneurs with a deep love of their hometowns are returning to make a difference.

In Chujiatang town – located in Laishan district of Yantai city in Shandong – a group of young artisans is using modern e-commerce to promote the cultural significance of the huabobo and boost the steamed bun industry, contributing to the prosperity of rural communities. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
