New rural roads to boost logistics in Linyi
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Lanshan district in Linyi city, East China's Shandong province, has been promoting the construction of rural roads, which empowers the development of logistics in less populated areas.
After dedicated efforts, the total length of rural roads in Lanshan district has reached 1,298 kilometers, forming a preliminary network system with smooth connections to other districts and cities.
"Throughout the year, vegetables and fresh fruits from the village's greenhouses can be transported to the city as soon as possible via rural roads," said Min Xiangjuan, a resident of Minjiazhai village in the district.
With the rapid development of these roads, Lanshan district has striven to develop postal express deliveries and e-commerce operations, along with the attendant supply and marketing.
It has now built five township transportation service stations and 266 village-level express logistics networks, achieving full coverage of rural express logistics outlets at the district, town, and village levels. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
