Food testing under spotlight in Linyi's county
An inspection and testing center in Lanling county – situated in Linyi city, in East China's Shandong province – has insisted on high quality and efficiency in its assessment work.
In the first half, the center tested a record 842 batches of samples.
In the year to date, the center has now tested 1,178 batches of samples, covering seven food categories, said Xing Yunpeng, director of the center.
In terms of its testing capabilities, the center has continued to improve its testing methods and expand its testing range in terms of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, food additives and other areas.
As a result of the progress, the center has now been recognized as a provincial-level agricultural and sideline product quality inspection center, responding to the needs of the public for food safety.
"Focusing on serving the high-quality development of the regional economy and society, the center will strive to expand its scope of testing services in the future and become a first-class county-level inspection and testing institution in the province," director Xing Yunpeng added.
