Healthcare revamp boosts system in Shandong's county
Healthcare reforms in Dong'e county – in Liaocheng city in East China's Shandong province – are widely said to have made remarkable progress in recent years.
The county has implemented several measures to improve medical services and ensure better healthcare for its residents.
One key initiative is the invitation to top medical experts from across the country to provide specialized services in Dong'e. The move is understood to have significantly improved the level of medical expertise and advanced healthcare facilities in the region.

Another crucial aspect of the reforms is the increased investment in healthcare. Dong'e has allocated substantial resources to enhance medical facilities, upgrade equipment and improve the overall quality of its healthcare services.
To strengthen their coordination and integration, a medical service community has been established.
This collaborative approach aims to boost cooperation among different healthcare institutions and promote seamless patient care.
As a result of all these initiatives, Dong'e county has achieved an impressive 90 percent or more outpatient rate – underscoring the effectiveness of the improved accessibility and availability of medical services. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
