Linyi city's county promotes charity project

The Lanling Charity Federation – located in Lanling county in Linyi city, in East China's Shandong province – was recently recognized as a role model for promoting the "well-being home" project, a large online charity initiative.

The honor was announced at the recent First China Charity Digital Public Welfare Festival, organized by the China Charity Federation.

The well-being home project is being jointly initiated and implemented by the China Charity Federation and charitable organizations across the nation, with the aim of promoting common prosperity.

The Lanling Charity Federation started to develop its project at the start of last year, making it the first pilot version in Linyi city.

Great efforts – including charity initiatives, rescue activities and fundraisings – have been made by the Lanling Charity Federation to boost the project.

To date, 173 well-being home projects have been implemented or are on the drawing boards in the county, involving a total investment of 41.25 million yuan ($5.64 million). (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
