Youth entrepreneurship thrives in Shandong
Laishan district – located in Yantai city in East China's Shandong province – recently organized a promotional event to honor the technological innovation achievements made by the younger generation.
During the event, subsidized loans were disbursed to Shandong Zhongjia Yingrui Medical Technology Co Ltd – one of the gold award winners of the 12th Shandong Province Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, with a total credit limit of 53.6 million yuan ($7.32 million).
In addition to addressing financing challenges that young entrepreneurs face, the district has been dedicated to providing these entrepreneurs with comprehensive services. This year, Laishan established a 1,600-square-meter base camp that acts as a one-stop platform for young entrepreneurs to get career support and social interaction.

The promotional event also featured a lecture by youth entrepreneurship mentors from Yantai city. They provided invaluable insights on strategies and operational development for small and medium-sized enterprises that are in their early stages.
Overall, these efforts were said to help enhance the local entrepreneurial ecosystem, ultimately contributing to Laishan's development. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
