Dong Qingxi, a member of staff at the site, said that the project was now 40 percent complete, with the main framework expected to be finished before the Spring Festival.
With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($136.8 million), the project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan and tax of 400 million yuan.
In the nearby Lin'gang Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, construction is also underway, with excavators and workers moving into high gear.
The park, which spans 860 mu (57.33 hectares) and has a total construction area of 570,000 square meters, aims to become a hub for the new generation of information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing sectors.
Several projects – including those in new energy cooperation and in energy storage production and manufacturing – have already been established in the park.
Ancillary infrastructure projects have been completed – such as roads and underground pipelines – creating favorable conditions for attracting more investments and enterprises.
Currently, the Luxi New District is said to be fully committed to speeding up construction and contributing to the overall economic and social development of the area. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
