Yellow peach industry boosts rural development in Shandong

Wangwuzhuang village in Juancheng county of Heze city in East China's Shandong province is enjoying a fruitful harvest of yellow peaches this autumn.
The village has established a planting cooperative that has provided a stable income for members and created more than 200 jobs for the locals.
According to officials, the income generated by the cooperative was more than 2 million yuan ($275,654) last year. This year, the total output of yellow peaches is expected to exceed 1 million kilograms, which will be worth about 4 million yuan. This would increase the collective income of the village by 100,000 yuan.
Juancheng county has been promoting the high-quality development of rural vitalization in recent years. For example, it has cultivated several characteristic industries, including yellow peach, to boost the rural economy and improve the living standards of farmers. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
