Lujin, also known as Lu brocade, is a hand-woven textile with a history of more than 2,000 years. Known for its fine weaving and colorful patterns, Lujin is a unique folk art that combines traditional weaving and the embroidery techniques of kudzu, hemp, silk, and cotton.
Lu Weimin, curator of the China Lujin Museum in Juancheng, said that Lujin has a complex hand-weaving process that involves 72 steps.
The event, guided by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and hosted by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Weifang government, aims to promote the exchange and high-quality development of intangible cultural heritage projects in the Yellow River Basin and along the Grand Canal.
