Shandong county celebrates with rousing activities

Yangxin county in Binzhou city – located in East China's Shandong province – held a series of lively and rousing fun activities to ring in the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day holiday.

The activities, which kicked off in late September and ran until early October, showcased the achievements of Binzhou in various fields and created a bright and breezy festive atmosphere.

In Yanghu township, villagers sang patriotic songs and waved national flags to express their love for the motherland during the break.

Laodian township hosted a mass square dance competition. The dances, choreographed by local folks, displayed the country's peace and prosperity and reflected the people's enthusiasm and aspirations for a better life.

The county's first Golden Autumn Food Festival opened on Sept 30. The festival, which ran until Oct 6, featured scrumptious delicacies such as peach crisps, donkey meat, beef, fruit and stone-ground flour. Many tourists savored the food at different stalls.

The county has pushed to enrich the cultural life of its people through these activities, while also demonstrating its unique charms to the outside world. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
