Shandong's city holds festival for pumpkin art
During the National Day holiday, the Pumpkin Art Festival held at the farm owned by Linyi Lichen Ecological Agriculture and Technology Co Ltd – located in the Hedong district of Linyi city in East China's Shandong province – attracted large groups of residents, who wanted to witness the magic of artistically designed pumpkins.
Covering an area of 30,000 square meters, the festival's pumpkin-themed park unveiled various uniquely shaped pumpkins that were combined to create highly creative sculptures.
In one star attraction, close to 200,000 pumpkins were used to form towers and mazes, presenting a scene reminiscent of a bountiful autumn harvest.

Visitors could also see rare ornamental pumpkin varieties at the event, such as giant space pumpkins and miniature pumpkins.
"We hope that the Pumpkin Art Festival can provide visitors with a different experience and promote agricultural knowledge among children," said Ge Changming, head of Linyi Lichen Ecological Agriculture and Technology Co Ltd.
This year's Pumpkin Art Festival aimed to promote a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature and the organizers said that the pumpkins would not go to waste, but would be reused after the event. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
