Expats delve into world of juanhua in Shandong
A group of expats from various countries, including Morocco, Burkina Faso and Pakistan, recently embarked on an exciting journey into the world of juanhua – also known as artificial flowers made from light, thin and translucent fabrics.
They did so at the premises of Linyi Chuangxin Flower Co Ltd, located in the Hedong district of Linyi city in East China's Shandong province.

The head of the company presented its latest technological advancements in artificial flower production to the audience in the showroom.
Nassim, an expat from Morocco, said that although the flowers were handmade, they looked incredibly lifelike. He even picked out a flower, noting that the colors represented peace and happiness in his country.
Hedong has taken great strides in promoting its intangible cultural heritage over the past few years by integrating traditional craft into local industries, aiming to facilitate the global spread of its traditional culture.
One great example is Linyi Chuangxin Flower Co Ltd. As a key artificial flower manufacturer in Shandong, the company has significantly increased its product range and technological innovations – offering diverse products such as artificial fruit, crops, tropical plants, willows and more.
The company produces over 800,000 artificial flowers annually, with a sales order book currently of $2.5 million. Its products are available in over 20 countries and regions, including Europe, America, Canada, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South Africa. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
