The Grain King competition involved over 60 grain farmers who were evaluated based on their corn yields.
A total of 10 farmers who achieved a yield of over 750 kilograms per mu (1 mu = 0.067 hectares) were awarded honorary certificates and received agricultural technical support.
Yanggu county is known for its grain cultivation, with a steady grain sowing area of over 1.61 million mu in recent years.
The county has focused on constructing high-yield demonstration fields and implementing measures to improve grain yields across different regions.
The announcement of Ran Lingfang as the "Grain King" is said to serve as recognition of her achievements and aims to inspire other farmers in the region.
With continued efforts to improve cultivation techniques, plans are for Yanggu county to enhance its agricultural prowess and maintain its status as a top grain-producing region. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
