Guoxiu · Langya indoor performance premiers in Shandong
During the National Day holiday, the large indoor performance called Guoxiu · Langya made its debut before an excited audience at the Yizhou Ancient City Theater – located in the Hedong district of Linyi city in East China's Shandong province.
Guoxiu · Langya is said to be a one-of-a-kind performance that showcases Linyi's thousands of years of culture.
The performance is divided into six parts, starting from the origins of Dongyi culture – one of the oldest neolithic cultures in China.
It also depicted the fierce battles fought during Qin's campaign against the Xiongnu in 215 BC and the legendary tales of Linyi's revered scholars. They include the tales of Chinese strategist Zhuge Liang praying for the eastern wind in the Battle of Chibi (AD 208-209) and Chinese calligrapher Wang Xizhi meeting his friends at the Orchid Pavilion to celebrate the spring festival of purification in the year 353 AD.

Taking advantage of multi-dimensional realistic scenes and foldable sky curtain technology, Guoxiu · Langya allows the audience to immerse themselves in the performance.
According to director Zhai Shijiao, the team will continue to refine their work by taking in more feedback and suggestions. The ultimate goal is to make Guoxiu · Langya even more stunning, allowing the performance to resonate throughout the province and even the entire country. (Edited by Zhou Yunlai)
