'If you look carefully, there is a slightly raised area above her top lip - a
sign that she has had some kind of injectable filler put in to plump up her lips
and make them project more.
'Surgery-wise, she looks like she has had an upper eyelid job with a small
slither of skin removed from her lids to take away the heaviness around the eye
area. In 2004, her eyelids were slightly impinging on her eyelashes but two
years on they no longer are.
Post-facelift scarring
'But what is really interesting to note is that at
the bottom of her left ear lobe, just next to her earring, there is a small,
raised white bit - a tell-tale sign of post-facelift scarring.
'Although her forehead and eyebrows look slightly lifted and less droopy, as
an actress it is unlikely that she has had any Botox because this can hinder
expression.
'Soft lighting, which casts fewer shadows meaning that you don't get light
bouncing off crevices, cracks and wrinkles on the face, could be another factor
in why she looks so great, and well-applied make-up is another possibility.'
Although Miss Basinger has never admitted to having had any cosmetic help,
she is said to be a fan of collagen therapy gel, a hydrolysed wheat protein
system.
The cream, when applied to the face, sits in fine lines, plumping them out
and has a similar effect to injectable Botox.
Miss Basinger, who shot to international fame in 1986, in the highly
controversial, erotic thriller Nine And A Half Weeks opposite Mickey Rourke, is
currently going through one of the bloodiest divorces in Hollywood history.
After marrying her second husband, the actor Alec Baldwin, in 1993, the
couple announced they were separating nine years later.
Today they are mid-way through a bitter custody battle over their 11-year-old
daughter, Ireland. Earlier this week it was revealed that the actress, who has
accused 48-year-old Baldwin of being a 'tinpot bully', faces jail for alleged
contempt.
Baldwin has accused his ex-wife of not making Ireland available for phone
chats or letting him have her at specified times.
If found guilty during next year's trial, the LA Confidential star could be
jailed for up to 60 days and fined ¡ê6,400.
