She has always oozed Hollywood glamour and sex appeal.

Now, at the age of 52, Kim Basinger appears to be going all out to maintain her evergreen beauty.

Because as she attended the Beverly Hills press conference of her latest movie, The Mermaid Chair, the Oscar-winning actress revealed a remarkably youthful complexion.

With her blonde hair loosely curled, she did not look to have a single line or wrinkle on her face. Her forehead, meanwhile, looked impossibly smooth while her naturally 'bee stung' lips seemed even fuller than usual.

Indeed, the actress, who has never admitted to having had plastic surgery, appears to have actively reversed the ravages of time.

Two years ago, at the press junket for the thriller The Door In The Floor, she showed off a much more homely complexion, with noticeable shadows under her eyes and prominent crow's feet.

Of course, her new, wrinkle-free visage could be the result of clever soft lighting - or a highly skilled make-up artist.

But top plastic surgeon Alex Karidis believes the twice married star's suspiciously immaculate complexion may well be the result of cosmetic surgery.

He said: 'I am absolutely convinced that Kim has had some filler put into her lips and work done around the mouth.
