President Hu inspects Xinjiang (Part 4 of 6)
Updated: 2009-08-26 17:12

Hu Jintao visited a predominantly Uygur community in Wensu County of Aksu, in southern Xinjiang.

Hu asked if the local residents had any difficulties and what the government and Party can do for them.

"With our reform and opening up policies, people's living conditions have improved a lot in these years. But we shouldn't be complacent,” Hu said. “The central government will continue increasing its support to the economic development in Xinjiang so that the social causes in Xinjiang will continue progressing. In the future, Xinjiang's development will be better and faster. The improvement of people's lives will be even more remarkable. Let's work together to create an even better future."
