The Chinese government has expressed severe dissatisfaction towards the Australian government's decision to grant the leader of the separatist World Uygur Congress, Rebiya Kadeer, a tourist visa.

According to the newspaper, The Australian, Kadeer will be allowed to attend the Melbourne Film Festival next week.

The Chinese embassy in Australia has pointed out that Kadeer was behind the July 5th riot in Urumqi. China says it strongly opposes the policies of some countries, to provide a platform for Kadeer's separatist activities.
