An international environmental forum will be held in Jiu Zhai Gou, a natural scenic spot in Sichuan Province from October 9 and 10.

The event is sponsored by the State Environment Protection Administration and China Development Bank.

According to the People's Daily, the forum, with the theme 'Environment Strategy for Fast Economy Development', will be divided into three sub-forums: water, energy, and investment.

The forum will discuss the environmental problems China may face in the next five to fifteen years, such as how to deal with China's water ecology problems, preventing water pollution. Attendees will also talk about oil, coal and power energy development strategies.
