Chain crash kills 5, injures 32 in E China,

FUZHOU -- A chain collision of 14 vehicles left five dead and 32 others injured on Saturday, in Ningde city of east China's Fujian Province, local traffic police said on Sunday.

The accident occurred at 10:10 pm when a bus collided with a truck on the Ningde section of the Shenyang-Haikou highway which links northeast Liaoning province to southernmost Hainan Province, and caused a total of 14 vehicles collided, with six of them destroyed.

Five people died on the spot and 32 others were injured and sent to a nearby hospital.

An investigation into the cause is underway.
